Widap develops and delivers technical solutions for industrial, energy and railway applications. Our competences range from power resistors and load banks to railway technology, energy management, power quality and power distribution.

Power Resistors

Widap offers power and high-power resistors from just a few watts up to the megawatt range, as well as customized resistor assemblies. The portfolio covers a wide range of resistor technologies and solutions for braking, precharging, discharging, filtering, grounding and other industrial applications.

Load Banks

We build high-quality, customer-specific load banks for you, from a few kW to several MW. Our load banks are used worldwide in a wide variety of applications and ensure that generators and UPS systems in critical infrastructures, such as data centers or hospitals, function reliably. Our load banks are characterized in particular by their high level of user-friendliness thanks to modern touch control.

Railway Technology

Widap develops electrical and electromechanical components for rail vehicles and railway infrastructure. The portfolio includes braking resistors, heaters, contactors, disconnectors, filters and customized assemblies for demanding railway applications.

Power Quality

Widap analyzes electrical networks and develops solutions to improve power quality and operational reliability. Power quality measurements and network analyses help identify harmonics, disturbances and other problems before they cause costly failures.

Energy Management

A comprehensive energy management system combines energy monitoring, energy controlling, load management and load control in one central system. This is exactly what we offer you with our modular energy management software Efficio and Optimo. In addition, we can also offer you the corresponding energy meters, data loggers, network analyzers, compressed air, gas and water meters, as well as modern LoRaWAN and M-Bus sensors for indoor and outdoor use, all of which can be seamlessly integrated into the energy management system. Our experienced technical experts accompany the project from the concept phase through to the implementation phase, provide professional advice and organize training courses.

Energy Distribution

With our reliable partners, we have a comprehensive range of electrical components and systems for you to choose from. These range from individual load and changeover switches to contactors and circuit breakers of various capacity up to complete, type-approved distribution and control cabinet systems. We can assist and support you from the beginning of the project and create the right solution for you.
