As a result of many years of experience in the development of customer-specific solutions, Widap AG has generated considerable know how in its areas of expertise. Our engineers plan and develop customised new products, systems and applications. Already in the conceptualisation phase we are able to execute complex thermal simulations and strength calculations with our 3D CAD software.

Consequently, we can design creative concepts within a short period of time which serve as a basis for discussion for the development of new and innovative products, which we continue to develop until the successful launching. 

Resistor technology

Since the beginning of our activities, we have been specialising in power resistors and resistor applications. Our wide range of standard products enables us to react rapidly and specifically to customer requests. Our engineering services also enable us to develop customer-specific applications such as load banks or filter resistors. As a result we can provide the entire performance range from a few watts up to several megawatts.

Load banks

We build high-quality, customer-specific load banks for you, from a few kW to several MW. Our load banks are used worldwide in a wide variety of applications and ensure that generators and UPS systems in critical infrastructures, such as data centers or hospitals, function reliably. Our load banks are characterized in particular by their high level of user-friendliness thanks to modern touch control.

Railway technology

Together with our partners, we provide a wide-ranging product portfolio of electromechanical equipment and electronic equipment for railway applications. Should our standard product portfolio not fully satisfy your requirements, we will in-house develop a suitable new product for you.
The products comply with the strict requirements in the rail sector and fulfil the equirements of the latest standards. Our long-standing know-how and our flexible project management enables us to implement high quality and fully tested customer solutions in the shortest possible time from the drawing board to the finished series.

Energy Management

A comprehensive energy management system combines energy monitoring, energy controlling, load management and load control in one central system. This is exactly what we offer you with our modular energy management software Efficio and Optimo. In addition, we can also offer you the corresponding energy meters, data loggers, network analyzers, compressed air, gas and water meters, as well as modern LoRaWAN and M-Bus sensors for indoor and outdoor use, all of which can be seamlessly integrated into the energy management system. Our experienced technical experts accompany the project from the concept phase through to the implementation phase, provide professional advice and organize training courses.

Reactive power compensation technology

The compensation of reactive power makes an important contribution to the efficient and economic operation of electrical installations and networks. For more than 25 years, our specialists have been receiving your requirements and demands, evaluating them on the basis of network analysis and providing you with the appropriate optimised system that perfectly fulfils your wishes. Our engineers subsequently support you in the trouble-free operation over the years.

Energy distribution technology

With our reliable partners, we have a comprehensive range of electrical components and systems for you to choose from. These range from individual load and changeover switches to contactors and circuit breakers of various capacity up to complete, type-approved distribution and control cabinet systems. We can assist and support you from the beginning of the project and create the right solution for you.
