PTC heaters
The new PTC fan heater from Widap is one of the latest innovations in the field of heating of driver cabs and passenger compartments.
The major advantage is the self-regulating property of the PTC resistor. In the event of failure, the heating power drops as the temperature rises, thus preventing the temperature of the housing and the air outlet from rising too high. This creates a further safety level in addition to the prescribed temperature switches. The activation of the temperature switches is avoided and the downtime of the heater is reduced to virtually zero.
The PTC characteristic of the fan heater provides a very dynamic performance, resulting in a considerable reduction of heat-up time and a much faster reaction to environmental. Consequently, the temperature fluctuations are smaller and a more consistent and pleasant room climate can be achieved. Due to the self-regulating property, only the required power is consumed and thus contributing to energy saving.
Our PTC fan heaters are designed to customer specifications and can be manufactured in any power range up to 400 VAC.
